The Rensselaer County incident happened in the North Greenbush hamlet of Defreestville, at a residence on Sandra Drive, on Monday morning, July 29.

Crews from the Wynantskill and Defreestville fire departments responded to the scene, along with medics from North Greenbush Ambulance association and officers from the Town of North Greenbush Police Department.

Nobody was injured in the accident, a Wynantskill Fire official said.

Photos shared by the agency show the crane’s truck lying on the roof of the single-story brick home with the crane extending across the roof and into the backyard. The crane’s outrigger punctured the exterior brick wall.

It was not immediately clear why the crane was at the home or what caused it to tip over.
